When you are dining out in Italy is also good to know that usually when you order something in Italy from a menu, this is how you will get it. There are not many special requests in restaurants in Italy. If you are allergic to a certain food, then it is best to ask or not order that item at all.

If you are in Italy, then you have to have the specialty which of course if spaghetti. Use a spoon rather than cutting your spaghetti. Cutting your spaghetti with a fork is not good table manners in Italy. Do not wait for your check if you are eating out either. You must ask for your check to receive it. You should tip in Italy with cash. If you are looking for something like fast food in Italy, then go to a pizza shop, or pizzeria. Most of the other dining restaurants in Italy are the sit down type with several different courses.

With a little advice and some research, you will get to understand what is accepted and not accepted in Italy. The last thing that you want to do is insult anyone by dong something disrespectful or upsetting to anyone from Italy.
